The project is located in Lizums, Latvia.
The LNG storage is designed to supply Lizums natural gas CHP production facility with natural gas for technological and industrial needs. It produces up to 4 MWe and 4MWt supplying nearby industries, such as woodchip and furniture factories in combination with Lizums CHP.
The facility includes two cryogenic LNG tanks, with a capacity of 120m³ and a maximum allowable working pressure of 2.6-4 bar.
The facility receives LNG, stores it in tanks, regasifies it, reduces pressure, heats the gas, measures volume, and odorizes it before sending it to consumers.
The project includes the construction of a medium-pressure (<4bar) gas pipeline with a total length of 321.87 m, connecting the LNG storage to the prospective cogeneration containers.
The facility includes various safety measures such as emergency shutdown systems, gas detection systems, and fire protection solutions.
The facility is designed to be fully automated, not requiring constant on-site personnel.
