Lizums CHP is at the forefront of Latvia's shift towards sustainable energy. We operate a biomass-fired combined heat and power (CHP) plant that supplies clean energy to Lizums and nearby industries, such as woodchip and furniture factories.

Impact

Since starting operations in May 2017, Eko NRG has been providing Lizums and nearby industries with heat and selling electric power in free market.. This plant plays a key role in reducing Latvia's carbon emissions and supports local energy independence.

Developed in collaboration with BB Power, Avoti, and HoSt Latvia, Lizums CHP utilizes the latest advancements in biomass CHP technology. The facility showcases how local resources can be harnessed to meet energy needs effectively.
